What the integration does
- Shows Messenger conversations sent to the Page you connect in your Get Assist inbox.
- Sends the replies that you, your teammates or the AI write back to the customer through Messenger.
- Lets the AI answer from your knowledge base and hand a conversation to your team.
Get Assist only works with the Pages you choose. It does not post to your Page, read your personal Facebook messages, or access Pages you did not select.
How to connect
- Sign in to Get Assist and open the channel settings of your project.
- Choose to connect Facebook Messenger. You are taken to Facebook to log in.
- Review the permissions Facebook shows and choose the Page or Pages to connect.
- Return to Get Assist. New messages to that Page start appearing in your inbox.
You need to be able to manage the Page in Facebook to connect it.
How to disconnect or revoke access
You can stop Get Assist from accessing a Page in either of two ways:
- In Get Assist: open the channel settings of your project and disconnect the Page. New messages stop arriving straight away.
- In Facebook: open the settings for business integrations or apps connected to your account or Page, find Get Assist and remove it. This revokes the access you granted, even if you can no longer sign in to Get Assist.

Permissions Get Assist asks for
Get Assist uses Facebook Login. Instagram accounts are connected through the Facebook Page they are linked to.

How your data is handled
Get Assist uses the messages, sender names and attachments from your connected Page only to show conversations to your team, to generate suggested or automatic replies, and to send replies back. The Privacy Policy explains what is stored, who processes it and for how long.
