1. Who we are and how to contact us
Get Assist is a business software platform operated independently from Dhaka, Bangladesh. In this policy “we” and “us” mean the operator of Get Assist.
For any privacy question or request, email privacy@getassist.pro. For anything else, email contact@getassist.pro.
2. Scope and our roles
This policy covers the website at getassist.pro and the Get Assist service.
- We decide how data is used (controller) for visitors to this website and for people who hold a Get Assist account, such as account owners and their teammates.
- We process data on a business’s instructions (processor) for the conversations that business handles in Get Assist. When a business connects its Facebook Page or Instagram account, the messages its customers send are processed for that business. The business is responsible for telling its own customers how their data is used.
3. Account and billing information
When you create and use a Get Assist account we process:
- your name, email address and sign-in credentials;
- the names, email addresses and roles of teammates you invite;
- workspace and project settings you choose;
- billing details needed to charge for the service, where a paid plan applies. Payment provider: [[OWNER: payment provider used for subscriptions, or confirm none]]
- technical logs such as sign-in times and IP addresses, used to keep the service secure.
4. Data from connected Facebook Pages and Instagram accounts
When a business connects a Facebook Page or Instagram professional account, we receive:
- the identifiers and names of the Pages or accounts selected;
- an access token issued by Meta that lets Get Assist receive and send messages for those Pages or accounts;
- basic profile information of the person who connected the account, such as their name.
The permissions are listed on the Messenger and Instagram integration pages. We use this data only to provide the messaging features the business turned on.
5. Message content, customer identifiers and attachments
For each conversation on a connected Page or account we process:
- the text of messages sent and received;
- the identifier Meta assigns to the person messaging the business for that Page or account, and the name or username Meta shares with it;
- attachments such as images or files sent in the conversation;
- notes, assignments and handover details the business’s team adds.
6. AI processing and the knowledge base
Businesses add information to a knowledge base, such as answers, policies and product details. Where a workspace turns on AI features, relevant message content and knowledge base entries are sent to the AI provider and model that the workspace selected or configured, which returns a suggested or automatic reply.
Each workspace chooses and configures its own AI provider and model. Each provider’s data handling and model-training terms differ, so workspace owners should review the terms of the provider they select.
AI replies can be wrong, and a person on the business’s team can take over a conversation. More detail is on our AI transparency page.
7. Purposes and legal bases
- Providing the service to account holders (performance of our contract with you).
- Processing customer conversations on the business’s instructions (as a processor; the business determines its own legal basis).
- Security, fraud prevention and keeping the service working (our legitimate interests).
- Billing and record-keeping (performance of contract and legal obligations).
- Answering your messages to us (our legitimate interest in responding to you).
We do not sell customer conversation data, and we do not disclose it to unrelated third parties for resale.
8. Service providers and subprocessors
We process information to deliver the services our customers request. To do that we rely on hosting, communication and other service providers that are necessary to run the platform, and we share personal data with them only as needed for the purposes above. Our current list is on the subprocessors page.
Some services are independent platforms rather than our subprocessors: Meta, which carries messages between a business and its customers, and the AI provider a workspace chooses for itself. Their own terms and privacy policies apply. We may also disclose data where the law requires it.
9. Storage location, security and international transfers
Where data is stored: [[OWNER: where customer data is stored: VPS provider, datacenter region and backup location]]
How we protect it: [[OWNER: security measures verified in the deployed app (tenant isolation, access control, TLS, credential encryption, backups)]]
International transfers: [[OWNER: regions of the VPS, AI providers and email provider, and the safeguards used for transfers]]
More detail is on our security page.
10. Retention and deletion
- Conversation messages: [[OWNER: retention period for conversation messages]]
- Account data after a customer stops using Get Assist: [[OWNER: inactive account retention: proposed up to 12 months for reactivation; confirm the period and whether it is purged automatically]]
- Logs: [[OWNER: retention period for logs]]
- Backups: [[OWNER: retention period for backups]]
An authorised workspace owner can ask for deletion at any time, including before these periods end. The data deletion page explains how.
11. Disconnecting and revoking access
A business can disconnect a Page or Instagram account inside Get Assist, or remove Get Assist in its Facebook or Instagram settings. After that we no longer receive new messages for it. Disconnecting is not the same as deleting: what happens to stored data is explained on the data deletion page.
12. Your rights and how to use them
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export your personal data, to object to or restrict some processing, and to withdraw consent. To use these rights, email privacy@getassist.pro.
If you messaged a business that uses Get Assist, that business is responsible for your conversation data. You can contact the business directly, or contact us and we will pass your request to it.
You may also complain to the data protection authority where you live, if there is one.
13. Cookies and analytics
This website (getassist.pro) sets no cookies, runs no analytics and loads no third-party scripts or fonts. Cookies used by the Get Assist app are listed on our cookies page.
14. Children
Get Assist is a service for businesses and is not directed at children. Get Assist is for businesses and professional users. The person who opens an account must have the legal capacity to enter into a contract on behalf of their business.
15. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy we will update the “last updated” date above. If the changes are significant we will also tell account holders by email or in the app before they take effect.
